After learning about the invasion of Ukraine, eight-year-old George Roast has decided to help those who need it most.
The terrible scenes in Ukraine have shocked the world and across Britain people have been donating, raising money, and sending their support to the people.
George will be raising money for Save the Children’s Ukrainian appeal and has a target of £1500.

He plans to raise this money by running 100km around Poole, Canford Heath.
He started on the 16th March hitting 22km within a week but George wants to be able to hit his target within 28 days of starting.
Adam Roast, his father said: “We were watching a little girl that was in one of the shelters sing ‘Let it go’ and George got upset about the fact children can’t have fun there, can’t be a child and have to act like adults.
“This is what inspired him to take on this challenge, which is quite a big one for an eight-year-old. He saw there was an issue in the world and wanted to help try to make a change.”
Recently, he has been learning about human rights and the war at school and through watching BBC Newsround.
When school finishes George and his dad runs four laps of their road, Verity Crescent, which equals to about four kilometres.

Adam continued: “I am the proudest dad on planet earth and his mum feels the exact same.
“He came up with idea on his own and just wants the children to have their childhood back, he asks everyday about what we have raised and what that can give to the children in Ukraine.”
He has now reached 96% of his target.
